Squamish, 1h from Vancouver, has become one of North America's hottest outdoor destinations: world-class climbing on the Stawamus Chief, kiteboarding at The Spit, premier mountain biking, winter eagle viewing.

The mouth of the Squamish River hosts the world's largest concentration of bald eagles in Dec–Jan (up to 1,500). The Sea to Sky Gondola climbs to 885 m to a suspension bridge and panoramic restaurant. Brackendale Eagle Run and Shannon Falls round out a full day.
