The Itinerary
Tofino and Ucluelet, on Vancouver Island's outer peninsula, are the two key villages of Pacific Rim National Park. One day is enough to explore the peninsula between them.
Long Beach (between the two) is the icon — 16 km of sand and Pacific waves. The Wild Pacific Trail at Ucluelet is a 9-km coastal hike among Canada's finest. Cox Bay and Chesterman Beach in Tofino are the surf spots. In winter, storm watching draws visitors (10-m waves, spectacular storms).
